I record lots of plays from radio and for last couple of years (using Windows XP) had no problem converting MP2 files to MP3 (so I could play discs in car). Can usually download some 20 plays of varying lengths to CD-RW disc.  Since using roxio I can only download 1 to 2 plays . Conversion takes approx. 3 hours instead of about 30 mins previously .
For information 20 plays is usually about 500 mb.
What am I doing wrong

Have now got windows vista

You could tell us how you're doing it, and what program in the Copy and Convert 3 suite you are using to do it.

What bitrate do you have your output set to? The higher the bitrate, the larger the files.

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same  [pick one]

To convert I am using Eufony, which used to be called Softe. Converted at 48000hz-16bit-mono 96b/s

It puzzles me why you're posting on the Roxio Copy & Convert 3 forum, but no matter - I see no reason to tell you to naff off smile.gif

But tell me please, what relationship do you think that your use of a Roxio program has, to the fact that conversion of your plays using Eufony now takes 3 hours instead of 30 minutes ?? And that you can only fit two plays on a disc using Roxio whereas you used to be able to fit 20 ??

I am thinking that perhaps that using Roxio you're making a CD-Audio disc which will take up to 80 minutes [2 plays ??] whereas previously [using something else] you might have been making an MP3 data disc which could store around 20 such plays.

But I've no idea why conversion of MP2 files to MP3 files should take six times as long as before, using the same software.
