I have Easy Media Creator version 7.0.1 and it was recently re-installed on a HP Pavilion ZE5478cl with a Sony DVD+RW DW-P50A Drive when I initriallt installed the Roxio it wouldn't runthe media creator or the disk copy portions but the Drag to disk portion had worked. then all of a sudden in the middle of installing Dragon Naturally Speaking 7.3 the DVD drive dissappeared from the computer. when I checked the Device manager it did not even list the dvd drive. so I rebooted. After the reboot the drive was in the device manager but had a yelow flag and gave a CODE 19 error. I looked it up on microsoft and found that I had to edit the registry and I removed the 2 recommended keysLike many others have posted. After rebooting again windows was able to recognize the drives once again however, the roxio now no longer sees a recorder and displays on the drag to disk messager line"no recorder" I'm pretty sure that none of the rest of the EMC7 is going to have any better results. When I originally purchased EMC7 there was a service pack for the software to correct some of the original problems with 7.0.1 but because I had to install a new hard drive in the laptop I don't have any of my previous downloads. and when I checked for the software on the support downloads section Roxio has a small message that they no longer service legacy software which means anything before EMC9.1. So I came to the forums seeking assistance. I downloaded the recommendation stickied at the top of this section but it had no effect on my dificulties. Any suggestions or assistance available? I really don't want to shell out $100.00+ for "the latest and greatest" when I simply need a good burning engine to read & write a few personal use disks.

It's kind of hard to read your post, being all bunched up into one long paragraph like that btw.
The 7.1.1.189 update can be found on this page:

For EMC not seeing the drive, try this:
