So, I got my DVD burned via MyDVD (movies from Videowave productions); when I load it and play it on the computer (various players), it works just fine. When I put it on DVD player for TV, I get the DVD Menu, but the buttons on the DVD are non-responsive as well as the "play" button on the remote and the DVD player. I'm using Maxell and Memorex, both have the same problem.

You could try and slow down the burn speed to 4X....
Can you buy or borrow some Verbatim DVD media and try a test with them?

Just tried a burn at 2X, no luck, same problem. I'll try a Verbatim, but any other suggestions?

MyDVD authors a DVD to the correct format, DVD Video , so the disc has to be burned correct.
The media is the next problem to check..
