My new computer came with Roxio Creator 10.2 Dell Version and I can put in a movie (dvd) and copy it, then save it to a blank DVD-R, however, when I downloaded a movie from the internet to my hard drive I put in a blank DVD-R disc and it shows copied; but fails to play it (Say's something about encoded error) won't format to play in DVD player or in Roxio.
What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions? Thanks

What kind of movie DVDs are your copying, and what kind of movies are you downloading from the Internet?
Life is good!

The Dell 10.2 DE has no video capability whatsoever.
Slapping files on a DVD is not Authoring a DVD Movie which is why they don't work.
There is very, very little that you can legally download and burn without the FBI becoming interested.
Tell us what files you have and your OS and we might be able to cook up something.
