Its my birthday and they bought me a new phone with audio capabilities.  Im so excited and cant wait to get started but it better get better than this or Im taking it all back.  I admit to not being the most computer savvy but I can generally follow basic directions.  I cannot figure this Roxxio thing out to save my life.  To begin with.....it keeps talking about copying stuff to disks.  I only want to copy from Itunes to the little chip things they provided with the phone.  Is that what they refer to as a disk?  I dont know if Im supposed to go to media creator or to cd and dvd creator.  Help, please........and where are the Roxxio technicians that are supposed to help customers?

You also may need to ask someone about using iTunes. It has built-in digtial rights management meaning it won't let you copy stuff to just anything.  If you have one of the new phones that has iTunes like the new Motorola Silvr, then you don't need Roxio at all.  The iTunes software should recognize the phone and download music to that.

If you have another phone that does NOT have iTunes, then it would take several steps.  First, to get the music FROM iTunes you have to first make a copy to a CD using the iTunes software. This is because of the digital rights. iTunes simply will not let you copy the music to a non-Apple device. Once you have a CD, you can fairly much convert to any format needed.

If the phone uses a propietary audio format, you may have to use the software that came with the phone. Otherwise, you can use Creator Classic to 'rip' the music to several formats. You would then use the software that came with the phone to transfer the file into the phone.

First, READ THE MANUAL
You can download it from the message pinned to the top of this forum page.

Once you have read the manual most things will become clear, and we can help you with anything which is still mysterious. But READ THE MANUAL first.
