I have been using EMC 7.5 for a couple of years now and have had several problems
which have always been fixed through similar forums.
Now my problem is my  transitions. I know that when I move or delete photos that
may be in my emc I will always get a blue question mark in it's spot.
Now I have this blue question mark in my transitions, overlays and effects. I
don't know what I may have done to cause this. Nothing I can think of.
Haven't used it for a while but still. Can any help with this problem please.

What problem is it actually causing???

The Question Mark means there is a file designated for that spot but the file is not present on your PC (in that location).

Try repairing the program and the contents via Windows Add or Remove Progams.  Try reinstalling the contents disc.

If you have updated Windows to IE 7 or WMP 11, you have broken the program.  You have to roll those back to previous releases.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Rename your Media Manager folder.

Media Manager is a hidden file. Go to My Computer/Tools/Folder Options, click on View, scroll down to Hidden Files and folders, and click in the circle to the left of Show hidden files and folders. Click on Apply, then Ok.

a. Close all open applications, especially Roxio applications.

b. Open My Computer.

c. Double click on the C: drive and browse to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Roxio, where USERNAME is the name of the user you are currently logged in as.

d. Right click on the MediaManager folder and choose rename.

e. Name the folder MediaManager.old

Reboot, an look to see if all of the transitions are showing.

Thank you so much. It worked. Just one more question (hope it's not tooo stupid) Will this affect anything
else in my files. (I mean by changing the name of the media manager).
That was great advice. I only joined yesterday and my problem solved already. I love this place

You're welcome.  No, it will not affect anything else in your files.  You can now delete the MediaManager.old file.

It's just one of those things that I remember for EMC 7 and 7.5.
