Ever since I bought this product, I have been disapointed in every level. First of all, this union of costomers that works for roxio (for free, of course) told me that everything would be like and better than in EMC7. Well, it's not. First of all, I was sad to find that half of the features are now gone, including basics like coloring (Red, Green, Blue), and speed adjustion (to hundreth of a percent, not by 10's). Beyond that, it is the most sluggish program ever. I've gotten 2 gigs now in my computer, and a 300 GB hard drive, and what do you know... it's still slow, and the sound lags during preview. Beyond that, it's widescreen controls are SAD. You can't adjust the aspect ratio of certian things, they remain as they are with black stripes on the sides or bottom. What if I want to strech it out? Do I have to use windows movie maker? That's sad.
Oh, yeah, what happened to me recently today: I worked with Videowave 8 for a while (about 45 minutes) to find that it had an error, and shut down. I forgot to save my work (oh gosh, it's my responsibility for programs that malfunction, so my bad) and lost it all. Wow. That was fun.
What about that problem where if I dare add an effect to the movie, the whole computer crashes? That's amazing. I wish more programs worked like that.
Beyond this, I have a whole list of issues, minor and major, that could fill pages. I could probably even make it into a nice book called "Videowave 8: The Impossible Program". It would be an action movie of me trying to get this program to work, spending money on supercomputers, and it still wouldn't work! Nooo! How does it end? With me going to forums.support.roxio.com and getting help from slaves to this website? Sounds like an unexpected twist. But wait, it would make the movie too long... after all, I've only spent about 30 minutes making an account on this slow and wierd website which can't recognize my account name if I type it in a thousand times. Oh well, just my luck I assume... or is it this website... hmmm.
Well, anyway, I hope that I get some answers from all of you hard working employies ($0.00 wages) of roxio. I'm probably not going to be around for long because roxio is going to boot me off of this site for complaining so much... after all, they're in for the money, not people like me complaining. But all of this is absolutely true. I might have said it in a sarcastic manner, but everything on this page is accurate (except the fact that I'm going to write a book). Anway, if you have any sollutions that I can use, please help. I won't even bother looking at the official support site... a waisted day of my life.
Oh well. These days, I guess you can't trust anyone. VW7 was awsomn. Widescreen was my lack. I got widescreen, and a bunch of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Good rant for a first post. And, if you went 45 minutes without saving your project, well you do have a problem.

I doubt that Roxio would kick you off the site for your rant, but I can tell you one thing. It will be a cold day in hell before you will get any help from me. :)

Buh bye. (Hashi added to my ignore list.)

Grandpabruce is right! Roxio does not supply good support, so we rely on this forum to support each other and hopefully get answers from people who have had similar problems.

Why do you think anyone would make the effort to solve your problems, which apparently go a little deeper than the software, when you start out by insulting us for trying to help each other?
