when i go to "create music disc projects" all the buttons on the page are black.
it is not possible to read any of the headings or any other text.
this is bizarre.

normally, when you click on a button in an application it will change from one shade to another.
here they are solid black at all times.

I'm not sure what buttons you are talking about . Usually that if something like that happens, it a simple display problem. Check Windows to make sure that the font is set to 96dpi. Check your screen resolution to make sure it is above the minimums, update your video device drivers, and update DirectX depending on your OS.

Do you see this on any other screens?

Give us more details if none of the above work.

every object on the screen where there is text displayed is blacked out.
every place where you have to click your mouse is black.
nothing wrong with my display. this is the only software that i have ever had to do this.
the previous roxio did not do this.

other panels in 2009 do not do this. only create music has a problem.
