I have reinstalled EM Creator 7 about 7 times now.  Error messages:

Drag-to-Disc could not start because components necessary to run are missing.  Please reinstall.

Copy Data Disc:  Cannot initialize API.  Please reinstall...

Copy files to disc:  Creator Classic:  Dragon Engine initialization failes.

Creat Backup project: Creator Classic:  Dragon Engine initialization failes.

Copy Audio CD:  Cannot initialize API.  Please reinstall...

You get the idea.....

I am running Windows XP and McAfee's Security Center.

Any suggestions on how to get this software to work again?

Thank you.

What versions of Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player do you have installed?

I.E.7 is known to kill EMC 7.x, and so is WMP 11.

Please see THIS topic for a discussion on how to roll those programs back to an earlier version.

P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB DDR-SDRAM, FX5900XT video, Viewsonic monitors,
BENQ DW1640, in XP Pro and Windows 7

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same  [pick one]
