Recognising Sony Drive

i had to reboot my system disc on my hp , now it doesn't recognise my sony crx 195e1 cdrw, im useing platinum 5 easy cd when i load program it says no drive , then loads program but easy cd creator won't open , the other apps do. i downloaded upgrades to u5.3.5 but they wont open. says no qualified produce found . tries to open direct cd but can't find drive . think im in a catch 22, or is my program disc bad . thanks . im useing windows 98se , when i try to run 5.3.10 upgrade i get cannot create creator error 0x80040154 [ thanks]

I suggest you clean ECDC5 from your system and then reinstall it afresh.

-Go to your Control Panel 'Add & Remove programs' and uninstall if there's an uninstall link there.
-Download Roxizap from the pinned post at the top of this page, and run that to clean the system out.
-Then reinstall Easy CD Creator 5 from CD; then the 5.3.5.10 platinum updater, then the 5.3.5V drive updater.
P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB DDR-SDRAM, FX5900XT video, Viewsonic monitors,
BENQ DW1640, in XP Pro and Windows 7

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same [pick one]

Finally figured it out , Ran zaproxi 3 times reinstalled ecd 5 and upgrade, then rebooted . used older version

thanks bredon saw your post about roxizap and used that before you got back to me , i think that was the anwser. the older version i have doesn't have the take two app, so i only used the one updater. seems to work fine.

No point in running more updaters after the 5.3.5.10 if your drive's recognized, and they were mainly to update the drivelist.
