I recently upgraded to EMC8 from EMC7.5.  When I first open EMC8, I am met by series of 3 runtime errors: (1) Runtime Error Line 1 Error: Expected ';' (2) Runtime Error Line 43 Error: 'Full Date' is undefined  (3) Runtime Error Line 253 Error: 'year' is undefined.  Not knowing what else to do I close all these and then open MYDVD and then a project that I am working on (which includes a total of 24 video clips).  When I click on "Edit Movie," I am met with another error message: IPEBase.cpp (3026): ***Error NULL = pDraw.p. Under details there are two more messages regarding "MouseMoveDetermineState" and "Mouse Move." In place of the (3026) above are (2992) and (2236).  Again closing this error box, I proceed to try to add text (in internal track mode) to the third video clip (I had no problem with adding and positioning text on the first two vidoe clips depite the above errors).  When I try to add text I am told that I cannot add text at this point, probably because the timeline marker in the production view is over into the darkened clip following the one that I wish to edit.  I can find no way to move it back into the clip that I want to edit.  I have tried reinstalling EMC8 to no avail.  I am running Windows XP SP2, 1.5GB RAM, 3.2GHz.  I apologize for all the verbage, but pray that someone out there can help me through this!  I tried live chat with Roxio but after waiting for 5 minutes for a techie I was disconnected and referred to the forum.  Thanks.
