Why Cant I Burn An Mpeg-4 Video File?

Ive been trying all night to burn and MPEG-4 Video file and for some reason when its done burning i go to make sure that it burn.. and then i get " The movie could not be opened. The file is not a movie file." what am i doing wring and how can i change the file type into a movie type.. Or how can i fix the problem.

I don't know what settings you are using or exactly what kind of disc you're trying to create. If you want to make a video DVD then choose the DVD-video setting in the Video window, set up the menu the way you want and burn your DVD. When the resulting DVD is finished it should play with DVD Player or on a standalone DVD player.

Where did you get that file? That will help us help you.
