There are a few ways to do this in C2009.  Sound Editor and Music Disc Creator are easiest. It's no use in explaining how to do it if you don't yet have the software but if you purchase it and still can't figure it out, just post back and I'll give you instructions.  It's very easy.

Why?  The quality will never be better than the mp3 file.  Is there some software that requires you to use wav files?

Just keep the original mp3 file and make a copy of it as wav if you need to.   Throw away the wav file and use the original mp3.  Converting and then reconverting may cause some loss of quality.

Which software were you looking at?  Creator 2009 or Record Now Music Lab 10?  Are you going to do audio only?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Umm... no, you'll have to purchase it first, then you can use it to do what you want.   dry.gif

As for going MP3 to Wave to MP3, I'd go with what Sknis said, if you're starting with an MP3 file, then just converting it to a WAV file won't increase the "quality" of the sound, and reconverting the WAV file to MP3 will introduce more loss.  So, just keep the original MP3 file and discard the WAV file when you're done.

If you're planning to write an Audio CD, then you can use MP3 files as the source and they'll automatically be decoded to the WAV format as they're written to disc.  No need to do it manually.

Hope that helps!

They are parts of the Creator 2009 suite. If you buy Creator 2009 you will get them too.

Well, you asked if this software could do it.  The answer is "yes", but you'll have to buy it, as you suggested you might be inclined to to.
