I've been trying for 3 days to get Easy Media Creator 9 ( retail ) to run on XP Pro/sp3 and so far the only part that works is D2D.
Anything else brings up the registration window which justs sets there. No way to close it, Task Manager doesn't show it running.
I've spent 4 or 5 hours using the search function but may have missed the answer. I did an online registration and it shows my key # correctly.
I've done a clean install 4 times with always the same result.
Any help would be much appreciated.................

I found the fix. biggrin.gif
Maybe this will help someone else.

Open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder
Open the Software folder.
Open the Sonic folder.
Open the Registration folder.
Open the Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 folder.
In the right side pane right click and choose new --> Dword Value.
Name the key ShowRegistration.
Right Click on the ShowRegistration key and choose modify.
Set Value to Zero.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".
