I am using Backup MyPC 7 (BUMP 7) that came with my HP Media Drive. I did an initial backup that took about 9hrs. I was not impressed. When I went online to inquire about updates or upgrades I do not see any for Backup MyPC. I get directed to BackOnTrack™ 3.
Is it correct that Backup MyPC is the free version and BackOnTrack™ 3 is the commercial version? My primary PC is running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit so I really need to know if Vista 64-bit is support before spending any cash. I think I saw something that says Windows XP 64-bit will not be support, but nothing on Vista 64-bit. Is there a better backup choice for Vista 64-bit backups than any of the Roxio products?
Any and all feedback would be most appreciated.

BUMP and BAT are two different, unrelated programs that Sonic bought to merge into different Versions of Easy Media Creator. BUMP is the one in the older Version.
When an OEM [Original Equipment Mfgr] buys the rights to use a program as an OEM Version, they also accept the responsibility to support it. After all, they are the ones who know what was removed (or, on occasion added) compared with the standard retail Version. So you probably should be checking with HP.
However, since the earliest Easy Media Creator Version that works with Vista is EMC 9.1, I would suspect your Version of BUMP may be too old.
Two backup programs frequently recommended in these Forums are Norton Ghost, and Acronis True Image.

I had this problem too, I don't know how to fix it... Thanks for the recommendations, I try those backup programs.
