so here it goes,

i was going to burn a music disc for a friend. so i inserted a 700MB CD-R...then i dragged 3albums into the 'mp3 disc'....and it was only 233mb...BUT! the problem was, the 'space remaining' part was actually FULL...........and so i tried quitting toast and restarted again...and this time i dragged only ONE file...but guess what it still says the disc space is FULL!!!!! i was totally fed up! > < can some one help me with that?

and other problem....when i went to the preference.. and check the "launch toast 9 when black CD inserted"...and i closed it..and open it again..it was unchecked...however, even if it was unchecked, it still launched when i inserted a cd!!!!...arrgggghhhhhh.............

oopps...i forgot the 'please' and 'thank you!" biggrin.gif

Toast does not encode MP3 audio. When you say you dragged three albums to the MP3 disc setting, were those already in MP3 format? If not you need to use iTunes to convert them to MP3 before adding them to Toast.

In System Preferences did you choose Do Nothing as what happens when inserting a blank CD? That works for me.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

If you have MP3 disc selected as the format and Toast is showing the disc as full when you know it isn't, that probably is a due to a corrupted Toast plist or prefs file. Quit Toast and go to your User>Library<Preferences folder and trash those two Toast files and relaunch Toast. It may explain the other issue as well.
