35,000 songs wow! I thought I had a lot with 8,000. You are using an OEM version of Roxio EMC 10 and it's very possible that your version of the software is limiting you for the function that you are doing.
If you can give us a step by step process that you are doing maybe we can help.

In the retail version, audio CD's are made in Music Disc Creator, not Creator Classic.

Always upgrade programs after purchase of a new computer, especially if its a Dell. This will save you A LOT of headaches in the future.

Upgrade and Update. As in, comes with version "7" and version "7.1" was released today but requires a $47 upgrade for new version.

Version 7 to 7.1 in Sonic/Roxio programs is an update.
Version 7 to 8 is an upgrade.
Updates are FREE.
Upgrades cost $$$.
Clear now?

I figured that the Dell 10.2 version is part of the Dell package as it allows you to write Blu-ray discs. Of course the rest of 10.2 is minimal...virtually useless. Unfortunately, 10.1 and 10.2 can't co-reside on the same computer which basically forces you to 2009 if you want to author and write Blu-ray discs.....too bad.....

You've uncovered part of the master plan! Too bad, we'll probably have to kill you now.

Not right – not even close…
Any version of EMC 10 will write a BD Data Disc but No Version will write a BD Movie…
For that you must have the BD Plug In installed. That includes Creator 2009.
BD writers are about as common as unicorns and so popular that the majority or retail stores don’t even carry them… Roxio is saving money by not including it thus they don’t have to pay the codec fees.
The sleazy little OEM version that Dell designed doesn’t do Video but is just enough to give you something.
