My Dell Inspiron 1525 came with Roxio installed, apparently a trial version?
So I did a full intall of the Roxio Creator & My DVD 9.0 DE disc that came with the computer.
I am able to burn music and data CD's / DVD's but after burning a music CD and clicking the print label
button nothing happens.
Also in the tools drop down menu the print label function is not there as I have read it should be.

(The label function does work in the trial version as my brother still has that.)

Thru Roxio e-mail support I received a link to download a repairer file, but the .exe file
would not intall. I got "error code 2" what ever that means.
I did e-mail back to say that it didn't work but have had no reply.

Any help is greatly apprciated, Thanks

Did it ever work for you?  If not,  it is probable, that the stripped down OEM version does not support creating a label from that program.  Is there a separate label program within the Dell edition suite?
Life is good!

Hello,

The "Repairer" is a hotfix to cure a problem with the full retail version of EMC 9, where running a registry cleaner would break the program. The program would thereafter claim that it's an expired trial version.

When you get "error code 2" it means that the Repairer has not found anything it can fix, which is not surprising considering that you don't have the retail version, and you don't have the "expired trial version" problem.  wink.gif

Would you please send me a PM with the link they sent you for the Repairer? I would like to check which version of Repairer they are giving EMC 9 users.

Thank you,
Brendon

More info

I got the "expired trial version" message after I had to take my computer back to factory settings.
In the "add and remove programs" in control panel there are 7 entries for Roxio with the blue icon. Creator copy, drag to disc etc.
Beside Roxio express Labler it has a square white icon with small green sq on left hand side.

Don't know if that helps or not

Oh, that changes things a bit.  Back to PMs, and I'll give you the version 9 Repairer if you're still getting that "expired trial" version. The version 10 Repairer that Support gives out, won't work on version 9. sad.gif
