I called support today about several problems I am having with DVD-IT 6 PRO.

The absolute biggest problem is when I try to burn an image to either
A. a disk   or   B. a disk image file on the hard drive
the program will act normal for 2-3 seconds then display the message
about "found PG with no video" and immediately halts operation.

When I "simulate" the playing of the DVD it works perfectly.

This is getting very annoying and has completely stopped my video production operations.

Tech support says "uninstall and re-install".  Unfortunately, they didn't provide the info they promised about how to re-download the software because I can't find it locally, I think that I stored it on a MAXTOR TERRABYTE NETWORK DRIVE that crashed.

I went to the digital river website and it was no help. They want either (1) my e-mail address + last 5 of credit card   <OR>  (2) order number.

Well I don't remember which card I might have used and after scouring all of my e-mails for the dates in question, I am unable to locate any confirmation e-mails either from Roxio or from Digital River with an order number so it appears that at least for the weekend I am screwed.

I don't understand why ROXIO and DIGITAL RIVER are intentionally making it so difficult for their customers.

HELP!

thanks,

Charley

I had the same problem today! not until I paid for support did I get a useable response which was - too many chapter points or chapter points no closer than 5 MINUTES??? anyway i didn't need the chapter points anyway so I deleted them and it worked.
However NOW I get an error telling me "FILE NOT A VALID MPEG - 20384" or some such number. All the mpegs are good so I don't know what to do now.

I am sorry about the delay in replying to this post. I had tried to log in as soon as I received the notification, however, roxio forums wouldn't let me log in and it took 2 weeks of back and forth before they could actually read, comprehend, devise and implement a solution that should have taken them about 3 minutes the first time around.

When this happened to me I had used the "capture entire tape" function of EZ MEDIA CAPTURE.  This left a stretch of time in the file at the end where there was no valid video signal. I had tried to grab a segment here, grab a segment there, and ultimately when I did the "simulate playing DVD" that worked just fine. It was only when I tried to burn a disk or an image that I got the "FOUND PG WITH NO VIDEO ERROR"

I discovered that when I deleted all of the videos that had blank time in them and re-captured them capturing only the actual video that I wanted to use this error went away on its own.

It was a lot of extra work and one would think that a multi-billion dollar company would be able to hire programmers sufficiently clever to write code to detect this situation and ignore it.
