Just bought a copy of EMC9 hoping to finally do away with the issues I was having with the windows editing software but alas EMC9 has its own issues and still I cant manage to edit my DVD files.
When I import a file a message says that one or more files has AC3 audio which is not compatable with EMC9 although EMC9 says that it is compatable with AC-3 audio files. Im running on vista and my vid camera is a Sony.

Any ideas would be much appreciated as im new to this computer editing stuff

cheers Karl

EMC 9 has been out of production for 2 years. I don't know where you actually paid money for your version, but I suspect it was e-Bay. You have been ripped off, if you paid a penny. You bought a free OEM version of the software, which does not support AC3 audio.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the only remedy is to get a retail version of the Roxio software. The only version in production now, is Roxio Creator 2009.

On the chance that you actually do have a full version, download the EMC 9.1 patch, and see if it will install. It fixes problems with Vista, if it does let you install it.
