I am not able to create a video file. I am bringing an avi file into Videowave 10. I try to output a few different file types, but not will export anything at all. The avi plays fine with no problem before importing it into Videowave. I had this problem when I edited the movie, so I am trying without any edits. I still have the same problem. I get no error message and no output at all. Does anybody know what this might be?

Does it get to the window where it should be encoding the ouptput and the progress just sits at 0% ?

If not, list the detailed steps you are taking and what happens.

If it is at 0% progress, try updating your video card/chip drivers.

Is this to say you are not seeing any progress whatsoever? Does this happen to the current file or any other file/fileformats? Are you able to post some video card specs?

Yes, I get the progress bar but it stays at 0%. I have a Nvidia GEForce 8800 GT. I am attempting a driver update now.  I shall return! -- Joel

Updating the driver sounded good, but didn't help. I downloaded and installed the recent driver (March of this year) but the same problem happens - the progress in the Render window stays at 0%. Any other ideas out there?

Did you uninstall the old driver first?
Did you reboot after uninstalling the old driver, so windows was using it's generic driver first before installing the new Nvidia one?
Did you turn off any AV, Spyware, and Firewalls before uninstalling and installing the new driver?

If "No" to any or all of the above, then follow those three recommended procedures and install the new driver again.

Thank you, Larry. These are good answers but I'm afraid not getting good results. I had only one Yes out of three, so I uninstalled the driver, rebooted, turned off av and security, and reinstalled. Same problem. What should I try now? I had Videowave file output a while back but not now and I do not know what changed.

The problem is related to your video drivers. The only cure that I've seen work is the uninstall/reboot/install of them.

You could try going to Tools -> Options in Videowave and setting the rendering to Software. That may help.

If not, try doing a repair install of EMC 10.
