Hi,
I am trying to import some old Video8 tapes which contain quite a few gaps. This means that the import keeps stopping when there is no signal. Is it possible to either make the No Signal timeout longer or remove this restriction altogether. I really just want to archive these tapes, so I don't have time to sit through 12 x 90mins of kids parties!
Thanks in anticipation!

No Signal means… No Signal
I have suggested a daisy chain but no one has ever come back and told me how it work! Maybe you will be the first
Camcorder >> VCR >> Capture device
The one in the middle can be anything, TV, DVD Player, another camcorder, just as long as it can input and output a signal.
My Theory is that the middle device will output a signal even when it isn't receiving one, fooling the capture device…
