I recently got hold of a recording of a speech that was made using flat batteries and consequently the recording is very slow and gradually gets slower towards the end. Using the sound editor pitch control at various stages during the recording helps. However, I wonder if there is a way to actually speed up the recording digitally with Roxio sound editor or another programme as this would be the ideal solution.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Kind Regards

Hmm... I don't have the program in front of me, but I don't recall if there's a "speed up" option or not. I know it can be done with Goldwave, with good results. I'll have to look when I get home.
Of course, the other interesting thing is that you must have a recording of a recording, where the playback device was slowing down, because if you're doing an original recording and the batteries are dying, the tape slows down at that point, so when you play back at normal speed, the sound is actually speeded up.
