I have compiled a slide show in MYDVD but cannot get it to burn. Every time, it hangs up at "Overall 50%, Recording Slide Show 5%. I have tried burning to file (ISO) and using software rendering. When I try to close the hung stutus folder using Task Manager, it says it cannot close because waiting for user imput. Do you have any other suggestions?

If it fails at the same point while creating the iso file (assuming you have also unchecked the burn to disc option) then there appears to be something wrong with your project.
I hope you created your slideshow originally in Videowave and are just adding the VW project file in myDVD. Videowave is the program to create the slideshow while myDVD is for creating menus and burning. In Videowave you can use Output to export your video to a mpeg2 file (which you can also add in myDVD). If the file creation fails it will tell you where it fails and you can examine your project to determine the cause for the failure.

How long in time is your slideshow?
