It's a flaw in label creator that drives me crazy.

My understanding is that this was also not fixed in EMC 8. Version 6 was the last to have it work properly.

Note to Roxio: Please stop sending me offers to "upgrade" to EMC 8. I will not until you fix this problem.

I'm sitting here reading this thread (as I am totally frustrated with the same problem this morning), and this reply had me laughing for a good 5 minutes.

Guess I'll keep editing with the layout screen at 50% so I can see what I'm doing.

Actually, you're not correct as the scroll bars do indeed work in EMC 8. But, it's not something that is going to be fixed in EMC 7/7.5 as far as I can see.

50%?! What size monitor do you have and at what resolution are you working? I would think that 100% should fit on the screen easily unless you're working with a 15"monitor, but even that should display at 100%.

As for the laugh you got, Grandpa Bruce was saying that if you want to get Roxio's attention, you need to send a report to them directly as these boards, though paid for by Roxio, aren't regularly visited by Roxio personnel. Those of us with "Guru" attached to our name are all volunteers that don't have a real life so we try to help out here where we can.

I think she found some irony in your post about this not being Roxio, and didn't realize that you were serious. If you think about it, it could be funny, until you realize it's not.

Hey, I resemble that remark! :) Proudly even though I'm way down on the drinkage category of late due to too much work. But never fear, summer is here.

well, my monitor is 17 inches, my res set at 1024x768. While in label creator, and making a dvd case insert, if i leave it at 100%, i can't see the bottom half of my project, or most of the right side. there are no scroll bars to let me see those areas. if i set it at 75% i can see most of it, and at 50% i can see it all.

as for the laugh, yes i understand what grampa bruce was getting at, i just found it funny.

Do you have your DPI display settings set to something other than Normal size (96) by chance? Having it set to Large size (120 DPI) for example would cause what you described to happen.

it's set to normal. it says Normal Size (96 DPI). Am i the only one who has this particular problem? Do you guys have scrollbars? I can see everything fine unless I'm doing the DVD Case. If you try to make a DVD case, are you able to see the whole thing?

No, you're not the only one with this problem. The missing scroll bars are a known, acknowledged bug. For my part, I've never put together a DVD case, but I just looked, and if I bring up a DVD case on my 19" monitor (1600x1200), at 100%, there's plenty of room for it. (I'm running EMC 8.) It also looks like it should fit on a 17" monitor, but I don't have it installed on a machine with that size monitor.

The monitor resolution shouldn't affect the size it's displayed on the screen, if the program is doing it's job correctly, and it may not be, though it appears to work correctly in EMC 8. (I changed screen resolution, and the displayed size of the DVD case at 100% stayed the same size.)

So, the scroll bar problem is indeed a bug. Why it's getting cut off at 75%, I'm not sure, possibly a difference in EMC 7/7.5 and 8.
