I am trying to convert my dvds to a DIVX format so I can put them on my PS3. The C&C3 will not recognize either of my 8GB (PNY USB & SANDISK) storage devices. What gives?

The "Portable Device/Media" that Disc Copier will copy to using the bottom button is the active device which will play the file, and would include an iPod, PSP, mobile phone, or portable video player.
Your pendrives are storage devices, same as a USB hard drive, so output your video to "File/Folder" [middle button] and 'Save As' to your pendrive. From there you transfer them to your Portable Device.
Please be aware that if your pendrives are formatted in FAT-32 [which is usual] you will run into the notorious bug in Disc Copier 9.
Copier 9 will not save even the smallest file to a FAT-32 storage device, claiming that it will exceed the maximum file size allowed in FAT-32.
Apart from reformatting the pendrive to NTFS [not acceptable to me] the only way around this that I could find is to 'Save As' onto the hard drive, and then use Windows to copy/move it to your pendrive.
I hope this helps you.
