Can you describe what format [AVI, MPG, MOV, WMV etc] these downloaded movies are in?
And will you please describe [in some detail] which program in this software suite you are using, and how you made the discs with it?
If you put a disc back into the computer drive and "explore" it with Windows, what sort of files do you see on it?
The more detail you can give the more likely it is that we can work out what has gone wrong.

Hello, friendwv,
This one took an hour or two. I'll explain a little for those who are watching with their fingers poised above their anal-retentive keyboards, watching for me to say something out of line about downloaded movies.
I went and located Graboid, subscribed to it, and downloaded a video or three. The site says they don't host any material, but get you videos from DMCA Compliant sites for a subscription price. Unless I see otherwise, I have to assume they are saying sooth.
Now, friendwv, I'm afraid you're "sol" or 'up that well-known creek without a paddle'.
There's no way you are going to be able to burn these downloads to a Video-DVD with this software.
The downloads I got from Graboid came down as .divx files. This is a most common and popular form of AVI file compressed with the DivX codec.
Unfortunately, this software [Easy CD and DVD Burning (red box) Vista Compatible], has been deliberately crippled to prevent you from using any file encoded with DivX. Please see this topic for a full discussion about this.
So the nett result is that there's no way you'll be able to turn .DivX files from Graboid into Video-DVD discs with this software. The full retail version [Easy Media Creator 9] will do it, but not this version.

I'm sorry about that.
Brendon

Nice work Brendon!
I think as time goes on, that DRM will become more Gray.
We already see legal downloads for portable devices and audio downloads that you can burn... I suspect the Motion Picture industry will realize that there is a untapped market out there if they can find a way to minimize pirating while appealing to the market.
