Roxio 2009 stops burning roughly half way through the file. The indicator moves abruptly to 100% (after it burns 50% of the file) , then it states "unspecified error 0 x 4" - Computer can't read anything on the new DVD - burning failed.
I was able to burn on +R DL once, after I copied "image" of the file (.ISO) to my hard drive. It hasn't worked since.
Running XP Home Edition - SP3
Windows is up to date
Roxio is up to date
burner is Lite-On LTN486S - capable of burning DVD +R DL (I have burned these before on other programs)
Driver is up to date
Computer has required minimum specs.
I have tried Fuji, Memorex, Verbatim.
I have tried different files (all failed)
I do not like wasting money on blanks. Does anyone know anything I can try to rectify this?
Doesn't Burn Dvd + R Dl

Try another program to burn your .iso file and see what happens. Your .iso file may be corrupted.

As I said, I have tried other .iso files and get the same result. I doubt they all would be corrupted.
I actually just tried burning from the copy and convert program, no error message, said it was successful, but the dvd doesn't play and the computer doesn't recognize any files burned on it.
I have burned dvd files this way on DVD-R, but DVD +R DL doesn't seem to work. Well, it worked once, but after many, many attempts with different brands of blank dvd's, it doesn't work.

In C2009 tools, disc info, what does it say about the disc that did burn?
Download the small free ' # 8 in my signature, ImgBurn Current version: 2.4.4.0 CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application '
Load in your iso, pay attention to the write speed descriptors it lists for your disc, set the burn speed accordingly.
Come back and tell us if ImgBurn burned the iso and it plays...

Imgburn worked with the DL disk. Still doesn't work with Roxio.
Can anyone help with the Roxio program specifically?
