this has been happening on and off ever since i started using toast a few years ago. i download an avi file from the internet and it plays perfectly on the computer. when i use toast to transfer it to dvd format and burn the disc, the disc burns all right, except that maybe 40% of the time, there is no audio on the dvd. the video is perfect but there is no sound. any ideas? using macbook with MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-857D burner. any help appreciated.

Download and install the Perian codec available from www.perian.org. Then start the project over with Toast.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
