I downloaded EMC 10. I hope I can explain this right.
I am doing a grad video and would like to take about 3 seconds of a movie and use it in my video. I have a dazzle and tried to capture it that way I kept getting an error message first that I needed "cinepak" which I downloaded now I get a message about the installation package of emc 10; which I don't how to correct. I have spent over 1 1/2 days trying to get a few seconds of a movie. I have done several videos in the movie maker and didn't have problems that I can recall.
In movie maker I am able to do this but when I try to do this in vw I have the sound but no video. I tried to use the dvd converter in vw but it didn't work. I may be doing it wrong but there's got to be a simple way. I may have to just resort back to movie maker but vw has a lot more features and I already have a couple of segements done in vw.
Can anyone help me?? I have 3 weeks left to finish and 4 more segments to do.

Could you list the step-by-step method of what you are doing? Where did you get the movie from which you are trying to extract the 3sec clip? I don't understand what you mean by "DVD converter in VW"
What are the error messages you are getting, please be specific?

Thanks for responding so quick. I've never posted stuff before.
It’s says to enter alternate path to a folder containing the installation package for Roxio easy media creator 10 suite.msi. I’ve tried looking everywhere in my comp.
I bought the movie “Because I said so” (good movie; I want it for the mother daughter section of video). I tried using my dazzle but I kept getting the above message. So what I did was capture it in Movie Maker and then tried to import it into vw. That is when the video imports and all I get is audio no video. Last night I was able to do a clip from a Charlie Brown dvd but I played with it for so long I have no idea how I did it.
I was wondering if I create the segment in movie maker if I could import it into vw as a video.
I saw a message someone else posted awhile ago mentioning the same problem but I didn’t see where anyone was able to help her.

The software will not copy the encrypted commercial movies, because it is illegal to do so, and no discussion of how to copy those movies, on these forums, is allowed.
