Easy Cd And Dvd Burning [this forum] doesn't have MyDVD. It only has MyDVD Express. Are you sure you have Easy Cd And Dvd Burning ?
What steps are you taking, and what program are you running to make your disc? How do you get there from the Home menu?

Can you describe what you're doing, step-by-step please, so I can try and duplicate it?
What type of source files are you using, and what do you do with them?
You say the screen goes black for a period and then comes back on. What happens to the program - is it still running when the screen comes back on or has it disappeared? What happens to the disc you're trying to burn?

Now, do I understand it right, you're making a slideshow in MyDVD Express and while everything looks good at preview time, some photos get skipped at encoding time?
What filetype are the photos you're using? [file extension name ?]
Are the same photos skipped each time, or are some photos causing the system to barf and whatever photos are next to be encoded get missed while the system is recovering?
What I'm getting at, are there any particular photos which seem to be rejected by the encoder or causing the problem, and if I sent you an email address by private message could you email me some of these photos so I can try and duplicate the problem?
Please excuse me if I can't put my finger immediately on your problem but while I'm one of the two gurus with Easy CD and DVD burning, I'm not into slideshows so I have to learn things about this part of the suite too.

It is a familiar problem but seems to defy a single solution.
I don’t have the Red Box version installed at the moment so I am guessing to an extent… From the Home app, click on Tools. If Options are available see if there is one for Render. If there is, set it to Software.
The other things we usually do are clear proxy files and do a Clean Install. You don’t have an option to clear the proxy files and I would wait to see if Brendon has another suggestion before doing the Clean Install.

I've sent you the message. Click on the "New Messages" text near the top of the page to receive it.

Like Jim, I'm suspecting that something has broken inside your Easy CD and DVD Burning, and that you'd be best advised to reinstall it to get it back to 'factory condition'. The 'Clean Install' instructions you should use are the same as for version 9 in XP, and they're HERE.. I'd suggest you print them out and do a step-by step clean reinstall, while I'm beating up your jpegs.
