If it is from a commercial movie DVD, you can't legally do it, and no legal software will do it. Roxio won't.

What exactly is the error message?
The other way is to play the movie and capture the sound. Check out the Easy Audio Capture application of the Suite.

Are you saying that the DVD doesn't play on your computer using CinePlayer or VLC? If not, ask your friend about it or ask him (her) to send you the music.

If the DVD doesn't play, there is somethng wrong with the DVD OR with your computer. If it doesn't play with VLC, then that could mean a whole lot of other issues.

You have asked a lot of questions; some related to computer issues. Please edit your signature (My Controls at the top of this page) to put in your computer specs. Look at how other people have their signature to see what you should put in. Please

"when it went to read the dvd it couldent do it" ... what is "it"?

You wil have to be specific about what you are doing, what program from the suite you are using, etc.

You are just stating generic information which is pretty useless in this situation.

Does that DVD play anywhere? Windows media Player, stand-alone DVD player?
From you explanation I am getting the idea that you have a corrupt DVD blink.gif
