emc 10 Audio capture did not capture the sound but the folder is there and say it has captured it i set it to wave for it to be captured but no sound in the file although the is there and it says 4 mb? please help

Gday Mate Grandpa Bruce I am ray from Sydney Australia ...I don’t know where to start..i am running western digital hd 500gb graphics card 512 mb Nvidia intel quad core 2 2.4ghz sound card sound blaster 5.1 mb gigaybyte here is the problem.........i ran EMC10 Audio Capture on my desktop ..i wanted to record 3hrs of audio feed from my receiver back to my pc the signal was coming through ok and I pressed the record button and it was recording etc when I went to open the audio file to edit in sound editor the file is there but no sound or wave form it has got me stumped oh by the way I am using vista ultimate 64 bit can please tell me the problem
