Using Video Compilation-I selected one of two videos recorded from a broadcast recording onto a DVD-RW disk. The video is perfect. The audio is missing altogether. How is this possible?

You don’t have a retail version that you bought but are running a cut down OEM that came with your computer???
If that isn't it, you are going to have to supply details, I only allow One Guess
