Hi, just upgraded from Toast 8 to 10, and trying to find the best way to convert  a .AVI file to a MPEG2 or something that I can then transfer from my Mac to a Tivo series 3. I read thru the board, but didn't see anything to help. Thanks!

I don't have Toast 10 yet, but doesn't Mac2TiVo (which comes with Toast 10) support .AVI files? There are always other tools such as pyTiVoX (look in the Home Media Features forum at www.tivocommunity.com

Depends on the type of AVI. If you install the DIVX QT plugin or Perian then you should be good to go. Mac2TiVo will convert them on the fly.
