To whom it may concern, I've loaded a 43 minute musical mix that I made from a program called "xitel".  I was able to load the musical mix with no problem and even set the track marks where I wanted them.  However, when it came to trying to finalize my project and write the program onto a blank disc Creator 9 kept stating to put in a blank disc.  I've tried several different types of brand new discs; I've also attempted to update the drivers as well as download the sp4.  Despite all of this I try to burn an audio mix and it keeps rejecting the cd stating it needs a blank cd; and this is after it is confirmed that the program creator 9 recognizes the cd as being blank and when I press "burn" it then pops out the blank cd asking for a blank cd.   CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME??? retired dj...kj

You do not have “Creator 9” you have Creator 2009 – big difference!

First thing you want to check and see if there is a Firmware Update for your Burner. From the Home app you can see the version installed by Tools – Disc Info.

If that does not do the job, try the PxEngine to refresh it – Here

Jim, I downloaded the PxEngine 4.10.28a and checked for the lastest firmware for my 60day old computer from best buy.  I have a Toshiba Satellite L305D, with a WD2500Bevs-26vato ata device; TSSTcorp CD dvdw TS L633P ata cd/dvd burner.  I again tried to push "burn audio cd" and the program recognized that the cd was blank, but when you press "ok" (to burn) it kicked out by my blank "Verbatim" cd-r 700mb disc.... What am I doing wrong?

You bought it 60 days ago but how long do you think it was sitting at the dock in Kuala Lumpur waiting for a ship to start it on its’ journey to your thighs?  laugh.gif

Check for drive Firmware Updates…

When the software asks for a disc it is because the drive tells it that is empty or the disc in it is not blank.

The software it just telling you what the Drive told it.

kevin johnson,

You have a bought retail version of Creator 2009 installed, not a OEM version that came with the pc?

This is from post #1, sounds like your working in MyDVD, with a DVD?

This is from post #4, what application in the suite are you using and burning a Audio CD?

I cannot find a TS L633P on the Samsung site...  http://www.samsungodd.com/eng/Firmware/FWD.../FWDownload.asp  ,  or at Firmware HQ # 2 in my signature.

When I Google the TS L633p  I see Toshiba Satellite L305D and a Dell Satellite with this drive, so I'm assuming it's a OEM drive made for them. Have you checked with Toshiba for a OEM firmware update? Is it still under warranty to have them trouble shoot the drive?

What X speed are the Verbatim CD media your using?

Right now we could try PX Engine 3_00_58a. # 7 in my signature. Download it to a folder on your hard drive, then unzip it and run it, reboot and check it.

Any extra details you could tell us would help, how your doing it, in what application, and what happens.

Hello

it looks like the burner is disc sensative. used a sony cd and it worked fine. the problem is that all I want to do is burn a CD without a gap in between songs. I looked through the settings on both burning programs on roxio and WMP without any success. can you help me with that?

So far as I've been able to determine, all of the applications (home application and Music Disc Creator) in Creator 2009 write in Disc-At-Once (no gap) mode.  If you have "gaps" between your songs, then it's probably because there is actual silence as part of the tracks themselves and you'll have to edit it out manually.
