Project_build To Device (0) Author Script Call Failed Error

Hello I get this when ready to burn project build to device o author script call failed error while writing format.I updated px engine and firmware and disabled start up items used sony and hp dvd-r and used two different burners. Its burns fine with 5 min video or less anything more this error comes up.I have a dell intel core 2 duo processor t64 4gb memory 320gb hd 800mhz

Standard or HD (AVCHD) project? AVCHD is the only time I remember anyone getting that message. Have you installed SP4?
What model Dell do you have?

Hello i have inspiron 1545 and sp4 happens on avchd hd project i am new to windows i have vista home premium service pack 1 will +r dvd work

I don't have a lot of advice for you. I got that periodically but it seemed to have cured itself. Try making sure that you are rendering to a bit rate and resolution that is close to your original video. Use a menu even though it is only for one movie. Encode to an ISO file and to a new folder with nothing else in it. If you just get the ISO file, copy it to the DVD.
I am using XP so there are differences there. What is the source and format of the original video?

Hello i am using sony hdr-xr100 full 1080i 1920x1080 set project to high quality and with and without two pass encoding I tryed a blu-ray project and a lg blu-ray disc same error comes up. Only way i saved a project was at the end when it asked me i don't know how to encode and save to iso file

Since this is a HD question, I'm moving it to the right forum so the Roxio person following the issue will see it more easily. Yes, Roxio is aware of the issue but since it occurs only randomly, it has been difficult to track down.
