Have recently installed creator 2009. It goes all through as though everythings OK, going through the burning stage but when I look at the DVD disc (DVD+R) there is nothing on it. Also when I finalise the disc it shows the disc drive correctly (TSST Corp CD-R/W D:)) but after finalising there again is nothing on the disc. Any ideas please

I am trying to put a video which I have transferred from camcorder onto a DVD. I produced the clip using the Honestech VHS to DVD 2.5 SE. I assuming from your inference that I need an additional package to the Creator 2009 to burn to a DVD, is that a correct assumption. I do have  the Henestech burn DVD 3.2 with which I couldn't burn discs with.
Many thanks

I know nothing about the Honestech software.

How did you transfer the video from your camcorder to a DVD?

If you have to full Creator 2009 package with all updates then you don't need any other software to burn a DVD. You will need a capture device to interface between the camcorder and the PC which I assume you have since you say you transferred the video from VHS to DVD.

Does the DVD you created via Honestech play on a DVD player?

Apologies if I mislead you but I have been unable to put the clip onto DVD.  Everything seems OK after burning even to the extent that it says finished but when looking at the DVD dics there is nothing on it. So with the Creator I should be able to download from camcorder, edit the clips  and burn to DVD? If this is the case maybe it would be better to begin again from scratch.   Does it matter whether I use a + or - DVD disc ?
Many thanks

Yes, with Creator 2009 you can capture from the camcorder (if you have a capture device that works with C2009), edit the video and burn to a DVD. Whether you use DVD-R or DVD+r will depend on the DVD players you want to play it on and if your burner can burn the type.
