I have restarted the network switch as well. I have gone into the Applications\Utilities\Disk Utilties and restored permissions and still nothing.
and another side note is that anyone else getting the annoying popup when launching tivo transfer asking if you really want to launch this program?
Any suggestions on the tivo transfer issue or should I reinstall OS X10.5.4 again

I connect fine. See the Tivo fine. All programs are listed normally. A pgm that is currently recording shows with the proper red icon.
I selected the desired program. Clicked the Start Transfer button. The normal Blue Circle icon appears beside the program title for about a second, then switches to a yellow circle icon with a large white checkmark on top. Switching to the Active Transfers section shows the correct program Title, Size & Source, with a status of 0k of 768MB - waiting. Nothing further happens, even after "waiting" an hour. Previously, the Blue Circle icon appeared and the transfer began essentially immediately.
The install of OSX10.5.7 went fine. Repaired perms b4 & after install. With Applejack, verified drive, repaired perms, deleted all caches, checked all prefs files, deleted swap file; all ok.
Per other posts here, made J2SE 5.0 64-bit preferred Java applet and application. No difference.
What happened?
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Chuck

I have an Auto Transfer which does add Active Transfers, but the latter simply sit there saying, "waiting. 0 of xxx transferred."
The last completed Auto transfer seemed to be a second transfer of an already-copied show, and the resulting file was twice as large as it should have been. It's as if a second copy was appended to the first.
No more transfers are working, whether manually started or Auto. I'll try the TiVo reboot and hope for the best.

Correct operation lasted a day. Then the same situation re-occurred the same as before, including the error from the browser access:

Server Busy

too many transfers in progress
Will restart the Tivo box again.
---------
Just restarted ok. Transfer operation restored again. Requested a transfer of 3 1-hour programs. The first program has begun transferring normally, the other 2 are shown with the yellow checkmark icon with a status of waiting.
Is there a bad program file or something?

I think that's a factor for me. After the reboot, I was able to (auto-)transfer a few programs. One's copy is 2 times its original size, the other varies between 14K and 20K. These files will copy between two System 3 TiVos, but not to TiVo Transfer.
I have a few more manual transfers scheduled; hopefully they will behave.
I also saw the "too may transfers" error message in a browser.

2 of the 3 programs xferred ok. The 3rd (Speed Report 5/10/09) is currently hung showing
Status: 1.4 GB of 768.0 MB - About a minute
as if it has xferred the file twice. Been sitting that way for at least 10-15 min.
I'll now stop the Transfer. Stopped ok.
Tried to restart the Transfer of that same program. As before, saw Momentary Blue Dot icon followed by yellow checkmark icon and Active Transfer window showing 0 of 768.0 MB - Waiting
This now happens to any other attempted program transfer.
Will restart Tivo tomorrow and update then, unless someone has any other ideas.
TIA,
c

Again restarted the Tivo box and then deleted the Speed Report programs. Not sure if those programs were causal or why they would be, but was again able to transfer normally.
Never tried auto-transferring Steve. That seems a little scary given the other probs. Also I prefer to xfer at night when a lot less things are going on with the system.
Hope things will continue to be ok.
Any thoughts from patatrox or anyone else at Roxio? The boards here suggest this is not an isolated situation.
TIA
C.

Since it used to work and stopped then my suggestion is to shut down and restart everything. Don't just restart. Do a complete shut down. Then trash the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder and relaunch Toast. You'll go through the Toast set-up again. Don't forget to activate the TiVo transfer when you get to that setup window.
