Awhile back someone recommended that I check out Xara3D but I can't recall who and can't find the Q/A I submitted.  If anyone has experience using Xara3D with EMC10 I'd appreciate hearing from you. : smile.gif :

I have xara3D pro ver. 4 and I have used it to make screen savers (Vista) and that works very well. And I have tried to use a produced drawing from xara3d program (all have files extensions of "rar") in Roxio EMC9 and that doesn't work. I'm prety sure that the only drawing or files that EMC programs will take (EMC 9 & 10 at least) are the ones shown in this attachment---

EDIT:  One of the options in the xara3D program is "Exporting a "rar" file as another extension. One of those is "jpg". Using that export option and using a rar produced drawing, then it can be used in Roxio Videowave. And I assume any other Roxio program that will accept a jpg file.

What I was hoping for was to create animated text in Xara3D and use it as an overlay in VW, which of course I can't do as a .jpg file.  I did export a test animated text to VW but the quality is terrible--jagged edges and just generally poor quality.

Edit:  I think I got it.  I just exported an animated text as a test and saved it as an .avi file.  Dragged it into VW as an overlay and it worked perfectly, with animation plus nice and sharp.  As of right now Xara3D6 looks as it can be a fantastic addition to my VW productions.  Thanks to all.
