I purchased a copy of Roxio Creator 2009 along with the USB capture device over a week ago. I downloaded the software and I received an email indicating that the USB device was in the mail. I was given a US Postal Service tracking number. I went to the USPS tracking site, http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfi...trackandconfirm and entered the number that was given to me. The resulting message is "There is no record of this item". I then logged into http://findmyorder.com/roxio and followed the Track Shipment link, in my case LJ001590365US and ended up with the message "The page cannot be found". I'm not quite ready to say that the item wasn't shipped, but it would be nice to be able to track this package especially if a tracking number was given to me. Has anyone else had this experience?
I also emailed the customer service explaining the situation and the response I received were instructions to log into the order page and click on the tracking number. Well I did that and I put this detail in the email. So they were of no help at all. If there is any Roxio/Sonic Solutions person out there, what the heck is going on?

It seems that USPS tracking numbers are often not really tracked. I ordered something that was shipped via USPS and the USPS web site and a USPS employee referenced from that site never had a record of it. I called the local post office and they said there was no record. I contacted the seller and reamed them. The original package arrived later the same day that I was told that there was no record.
Save your time and energy, USPS is your government at work and charges you more for less. The employees are not the culprit. It is their software supplied by the person who had contacts with the government official (or congress person) responsible.
I'll prpbably be under a watch and never get any packages again !

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I have a suggestion that might help, as some time ago I had a similar situation (Not from Roxio however) regarding a shipment via the USPS that had a tracking number. I could not find anywhere anything about the tracking number. So, I went down to my local US post office and gave them the tracking number and within a few minutes they told me all the information I wanted to know, confirmed that it was a legitiment number and exactly where it was etc. (Just a helpful suggestion).
However as already suggested---except for a very few occasions, everyone using this Roxio forum are not Roxio employees but rather just users like yourself.

I'm not overly concerned about it, but I just thought it was odd that a non-existent or inaccessible tracking number would be supplied to the customer. Going to the local post office won't do any good given that this is a Canadian order and our orders are filled in the US of A. And who knows how long it will be sitting in the customs office.
And to poster sknis, I'm sure that postal services the world over are pretty much the same. I doubt yours is any worse than ours.
