Hello I have EMC10 on 2 computers, but when I load my MOV files they do not have sound. It tells me to update to the latest Quicktime. I did so but still there is no sound using WideoWave.
Some help Please?

I can edit the MOV videos using Premier Elements 4.0. But I think EMC is much easier but I can not hear the sound of the clips. Those are MOV files from and Iptek 720 HD.

I am guessing the Aiptek (isn’t that correct?) does not produce Stereo sound and that is the problem.

One of the Gurus had one and got rid of it because of the hoop jumping to make their files work! I will IM him about this…

Yes, That was me. The Aiptek camcorder I purchased was 720P with mono audio and Videowave just didn't import the audio at all.

I'm not sure what you are saying -- the thread I pointed to gave the link to 2 different converters that should make the sound in your files appear.

Did you try that?

I had the same problem with AIPTEK HD-DV Camcorder..
where there was no sound when trying to add the MOV's to VW or MyDVD
I had to use Cyberlink Power Director on Sknis advice, thanks Steve smile.gif
and convert them into MPEG's sad.gif
and all is well..

If you have Creator 2009 Ultimate then you have Bias Sound Soap. Add the mov to that application and then save the audio as a wav file. Add the video to Video Wave, select to show the hidden tracks, select the native track and mute it. Now add the wav file to any of the other audio tracks. Move it so the sound lines up (you may not have to do this). You can then edit and/or output and/or burn the video.

OOPS, I don't remember if Sound Soap came with EMC 10. sad.gif . Sound Soap by Bias has a short trial period so you can see if it works for you.

It works with the mov files from a Kodak Zx1.
