I have successfully installed EMC8, but every time I started up, it asks me to inset disc 1.  Nothing happens when I insert disc 1.  The following message appears:
“Error 1706: No valid source could be found for product Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 Suite.  The Windows Installer cannot continue.”  Could anyone tell me what has gone wrong?  Many thanks.

Have you tried a repair install from the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs?  It might have not completely finished the installation.

Many thanks.  I tried to repair but failed.  The PC did not allow me to repair the installation.  It said serious error occurred and discontinued.

I saw correspondence a few months ago at this site about the same problem encountered by some other users.  I wonder if they had found ways to rersolve it.  Any advice from those users who had such problem rresolved is much appreciated.

Your best bet may be to completely uninstall using the Microsoft Uninstall Utility and reinstall again.
