I just assembled a new computer using the ASUS  M4A79 deluxe Motherboard and running windows VISTA 64 home premium. I have two DVD recorders, an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S and a TDK DVDRW0404N.
I have tried the following two px engines
pxengine3_00_58a
pxengine4_10_28a

and mys DVDs are still not detected by Roxio Easy Media Creator 10
Any suggestions?

Go into Device Manager and remove your media devices, CD/DVD, (do not disable).  When you reboot the system will detect them and reinstall the device driver.

Do your drives show in device manager without yellow explanation marks?

What drivers show for the drives, Microsoft?

Do the drives show in the bios?

Explain in detail how/what you did with Dave's instructions, that didn't work?  (Go into Device Manager and remove your media devices)
