When I used the older version, I was able to make chapters when I made my slideshow/DVD. I now have Creator Suite 10 and I can't figure out how to make chapters. I looked in manual. It appears I can not do it in Videowave. I would like to basically have 2 parts to my DVD in which I can click on an icon to see one or the other.

Things changed, from previous versions. Although the encoding is better, the software took a step backwards, in some ways.

In MyDVD, bring in your VideoWave production, right click on the title name, in the Preview screen, and click on Edit Chapters. You will be able to create chapters, from there.

That's not what you want, but like other portions of the software suite, it has gone downhill since EMC 7.5. However, the final product is great, with EMC 10.

So, do I need to add the pictures into the Videowave first prior to making the chapter via MyDVD?

From your description it seems you want to create Titles and not chapters. You seem to want 2 slideshows that you want to select from the main menu page. Items on the main menu page are called Titles. Chapters are created if you select a Title on the main menu page and then select Edit Chapters.

The easiest way to create the 2 Ttiles is to create a videowave project for each Title and save the project to a dmsm project file. Then exit Videowave, launch myDVD and add the dmsm project file. You should now have 2 titles on your menu page. If you want you can then create chapters for each Title.

A good start is to read the some of the pinned post at the top of this forum especially the "Video workflow strategy"
