Apon further reading I discovered that I purched Toat 6.5 not 7 lets make a list of what does not work so far

Deja Vu
Spin Doctor

Now I cant find set-top dvd Recorder or 128 data encrypition oh i dont need encryption because i can backup. It would seem to me that toast should ub befor Popcorn 2 because it was out first. Dont need to come hear any more, if it does not work its because I have intel. I cant belive I am going to say this should have stuck with microesoft. Can I just run windows on a core duo?( bootstrap) you should put a stciky on this site to save time for the people who have intels but that mite hurt sales.

There is no Toast 6.5. Possibly you mean 6.0.5. If that is what you meant then download the free update to Toast 6.1.1. Also check to see if you have the latest update to Spin Doctor 2 (bundled with Toast 6.x). I don't think that will get you a version of Deja Vu that works with Intel.

From what I can tell you're angry with Roxio because you bought an older version of Toast (bundled with older versions of its extra applications) instead of buying the current version. And you're not very patent, either, about waiting for updates for the Intel Macs, yet you rushed out and bought one of those knowing there'd be some problems with compatibility with older PowerPC apps. Okay.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I just did a search at http://guide.apple.com/universal/ and Toast didnt come up. It took me all of 30 seconds. I didnt even have to ask another person.

I am not trying to be mean, and I understand how frustrating problems like this can be. I am just saying, the information is out there. Roxio will have universal apps soon, they always end up upgrading their Mac products to whatever Apple's latest standard is. Just be a little patient. Things like this take time.

I have allready bought Toast 7 so I will have to wait for the universal. what I am pissed at is I came here first befor I bought Toast 7and there was no mention how much trouble the Intels where haveing you and I know that Roxio knows what would work and what would not work. Befor you buy some thing where do you go I go to the manufacturer web site. All I am asking is a sticky saying what does not work for the Intels or at least tell me some one here knows. Well tsantee will this post go unanswered allso.

Tsantee and of course the many other wonderful posters in this group, I want to thank you very much. You have helped me with many issues over the past couple years - way before I officially posted here a few months ago. I just want to let everyone know that we appreciate your insights and willingness to to put in a little time for others.

We all have come to know that Roxio's support is not 5 stars. However, I think you could say that about many software support teams. The budget in many companies isn't what it used to be, and the choice comes down to limiting tech support or simply cutting a product line or even going out of business.

So, instead of getting the tech support that we all dream of, we are forced to this Forum for anything that goes beyond basic use of the program. Sometimes I wish there was more, but at the same time, some of the best support can come from users that have been there, suffering through the same little pains that you are experiencing now.

Thanks again to all the users for doing your best to help other users. Let's stay on each other's side. This is the best support we have for the moment.

-Mike

Thanks, Miketall. I'm glad when my experience or reasoned guesses either solves a problem or helps steer someone in the right direction. It's frustrating to me too when the problem is not one I've experienced or have learned from others about a solution. I'm torn between wanting to get an Intel Mac so that I could try to replicate some of those issues and being glad I don't have one because of the difficulties some have reported.

While its not my nature to get as upset as skrface421 when things aren't all working soon after a significant technology change, I do agree that it would be nice if Roxio posted a known issues page so there'd be less chance of unmet expectations.

Sometimes the wait for updates to fix known issues is longer than I hoped. What calms me is knowing that this isn't for lack of effort or desire on the part of Roxio's engineers. I have the choice of remaining patient or getting upset. Since it has no effect either way on how fast the update is available, I choose patience and save my upset for the headlines in today's newspaper.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Yes I was upset I just speet 1400.00 on the mini with upgrades keyborad isite ect... and my first project is getting music off of my vinly( going into a ipod) plus the vinly of friends last count about 4000 albums. The ease of haveing a computer conected right to a recver inspiers motovaton. The choice of uesing a Mac was easey I would not have to baby sit it no spywear ect ...Now I have olny been computing for three years and this would be my first Mac and I did not know the limations of The Mac it seens to me that you have vrey little choices of software for what I whated to do (or any thing eles) where with the pc you have unlimited in the price range of 100.00 maybe ony five or six being good but you still have the choice. It seens to me that the os of the Mac is much more powerful than window but the limited choices of software made me even more upset. Now Toast has the best witten manual I have read and the inagration with itunes makes it a must have for a Mac cheek for updates every day. What I am doing now is recording in Audacity burning a DVD of the wavs and cuting wavs into tracks in Nero on a pc then back to the Mac and make a image of the album and then ituens tags and rips, no typeing involved my typeing stinks and so does my spelling. Sorry about being so upset it just seemed to me that some thing this simple should work right out of the box for 1400.00
