I notice from the Roxio website options to buy the full 'Easy VHS to DVD for Mac' at £59.99 which includes Toast basic or 'Video Capture USB for Mac' at £49.99. I already own Toast so do I just need the Video Capture cable?

Also... couldn't help noticing the PC equivalent is £34.99. Why is this?

I'm asking here as when I sent a query ticket to Roxio I was sent back 2 links to the website: one for software updates, one for the online store. But no answer to my question.

Haven't you heard, MACs are more expensive.  rolleyes.gif  New product, lower volume, marketing strategy; take your pick.

You need the capture device and the actual VHS to DVD program.  You get the lite version of Toast 9 just in case you do not own Toast.  I did not even install that.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Thanks for the response. Now I'm puzzled why they sell the cable separately at all - maybe it comes with a Mac driver that costs £15 more than the PC one :-)

The response to my query to Roxio tech support was a link to the software update page and a link to the online store...

The Mac versions includes capture software (Easy VHS to DVD Capture), the PC version does not.
