I have used Creator 2009 to make an audio project with a number of tracks imported from CD's.  I completed the project and then proceeded to try to burn it to CD.  I get an error saying I do not have a disc present and to insert one, but it is still not recognized.  I have read several posts regarding this type of problem and have tried many of the solutions, but still get the same error.

- I updated my disc drivers - It is a 16XmaxDVD+/-R/RWSuperMultidrv

- Operating system is Windows Vista, service pack 1

- I have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed

- The file type is the files that Creator 2009 creates.

- I installed the PxEngine recommended in another posting

- Steps used to try to burn are as follows: from the Music Disk creator I go to export>burn>select16X for write speed>OK>Then I get audio CD progress information wher it tells me to insert disc.  A disc is inserted, but now recognized.

I am able to copy from one audio disc to another audio disc without any issues, I just cannot burn from the pc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

angry.gif I have the same problem as do many others, so it's not bad hardware.  I am trying to burn a data disk on a Vista (64-bit) computer.  I run 'Burn Data Disk - Advanced', I select the files that I want to burn in the upper pane, and then add them to the lower pane.  I load a CD-R in my CD-RW / DVD-RW drive, and click on 'Burn'.  The application begins, but shortly thereafter, I get a pop-up that says there's no CD in the drive (the drive ejects at that point).

Closing the drive tray to re-try produces the same problem.

But if I put a blank DVD-R in the drive, it works perfectly.  IT'S NOT THE DRIVE!

It has to be a Creator 2009 problem and Roxio should work at fixing it.

Computer: HP Pavilion
CPU: AMD Phenom 8550 Tripp-core  2.2 GHz
Memory: 5 GB
Drive: TSST Corp TS-H653Q SCSI
OS: Vista, Svc Pack 2

Creator 2009: Version 1.1.110; 4.12.00a
     Build 111B10E; 411B33A, C11

Please solve this problem.

Actually, it is a very well know problem with Microsoft.  Install the px engine 3.... in the following link.  The px 4 engine is a failure.
