"Writing Lead-In. . ."

I can't get the "Writing Lead-In. . ." function to finish. The #2 DVD of 3 total just keeps running in place. . .

All I can think of (and I'm likely wrong) is that the drive went to sleep. Go to the Energy Saver panel in system preferences and turn off anything that puts the Mac or drives to sleep and see if that makes a difference.
