I just purchased Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac. My Mac G-5 has all the requirements except my iMovie HD is version 6.0.3. Is that adequate or must I upgrade to iMovie HD '09?

Yours is the last version of the original iMovie. The version in iLife 08 and iLife 09 is considerably different and I believe it is either one of those that the Easy VHS to DVD application looks for. However, if you have a full version of Toast 7, 8, 9 or 10 you can use it to convert the MPEG 2 video recorded by the Roxio device to DV for input to your iMovie HD.
